-------------------------- Start your video player, load a RAR file and enjoy! It is possible to load a RAR archive with more than one file. If your player already has a feature to automatically unpack RAR archives before playback remember to disable it first. No more waiting! All files of a multi-part archive must reside in the same directory, you can load any file in the set and the filter will automatically find and scan all parts for media files. ============================== Version 1.5 is a one-way RARFileSource that doesn't support fetching new parts. Version 1.6 is a multi-way RARFileSource that can load and unpack new parts. Version 1.7 is an updated version of the multi-way RARFileSource that fixes a known issue with.R00 files not being playable. Version 1.8 is the one-way RARFileSource for Windows 7 and 8 Version 1.9 is an updated version of the one-way RARFileSource that adds support for extracting files from RAR archives of other archive types. Usage example: ======================== RARFileSource file; file.Open("file:///C:/Test.rar", FileMode.Open); // you can now work with the file file.Open("file:///C:/Test.rar", FileMode.Open); // the file is now open and you can do something with it It is also possible to store the file pointer for reuse. char buffer[1000]; file.Read(buffer, sizeof(buffer)); file.Close(); file.SetPosition(0); // can be used for repeated file access or for seeking finally { file.Close(); } It is also possible to read the entire file with the Read() method and set the position of the source. It is possible to abort the entire operation by raising an error or calling the Abort() method. The Read() method does not return any data if the file is not opened, if the file was previously closed the Read() method will return NULL. If the Read() method is called when the file is opened (open() flag FileMode.Open) the Read() method returns 0. If the Read() method is called with the open() flag FileMode.Append then the Read() method adds data to the file, the Read() method also returns 0 in this case. The Read() method does not return data if the file is being accessed using other methods such as Open() or OpenRead() and for example it is possible to add media files to the RAR archive while the Read() method is running, this results in corrupt files. When reading a multi-part archive the Read() method will not try to read additional parts until all parts have been fully loaded, this can take some time. If the multi-
